ZAMBOANGA CITY: A Muslim man was killed and another injured in separate gun attacks in Zamboanga City, police reported on Monday, September 5. Police said three gunmen opened fire and killed Radzmil Ingkoh Waliul inside a roadside restaurant in Tugbungan village late Friday. Waliul was driving his motorcycle with his wife when he noticed a small van tailing them. He then stopped and rushed inside the restaurant to seek safe refuge, but the gunmen followed and killed him. Waliul's wife was left unharmed by the attackers who escaped after the shooting. No civilians were reported injured in the attack. The motive of the killing is still unknown. Another Muslim man, Nasser Aspali, was only fishing with his friend Dodoh Allani off Labuan village when they were shot upon by unidentified attackers. Aspali was wounded in the shooting, according to the police. Allani rushed the wounded victim to the coastline and told his relatives about the attack and rushed Aspali to the hospital and reported the shooting to the police, saying they were on a motorized boat and fishing near the village when they heard a burst of gunfire. No individual or group claimed responsibility for the shooting.
